Senior Systems Administrator

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of IT, the Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for supporting information technology services and infrastructure, monitoring system performance, the configuration of equipment and services, as well as system migrations and upgrades. 

Our ideal candidate has a strong working knowledge of Linux and Perforce, possesses a growth mindset and is actively engaged in expanding their skillset as we’re looking for an individual to grow into a DevOps role. 

Essential Functions:

  • System administration of Linux systems in both test and production environments

  • Manage system and server migrations 

  • Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the dev, test and production environments

  • Help document and design various processes; update existing processes

  • Work with other IT team members to improve infrastructure development and application development

  • Provide emergency response, lead complex troubleshooting, and implement remediation plans

  • Collaborate with other Engineering and Production to help build systems and tools that support and enhance our game development efforts

  • Brainstorm new ideas to improve infrastructure performance



 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems

  • 5+ years of systems administration experience in development or related IT, computer, or operations field

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Linux based system administration

  • Strong working knowledge of Perforce also a  must

  • Prior hands-on experience with server and system migrations 

  • Exposure to AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and TeamCity a plus

  • Experience with Scrum/Kanban/SAFe, Agile workflow methodologies

  • Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services also a plus
